“…walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” – Colossians 1:10

We are all called to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord. But what does that look like? How do we know if we are walking worthy? And how do we recognize and defend against the things that will pull us away from the worthy walk? If you’ve ever struggled with these questions and you desire to learn what it means to truly walk worthy, join us for the Walk Worthy Women’s Event. Our keynote and breakout sessions will help us focus on walking the walk that pleases Him.

  • Hey there! I’m Nikki, and this is my first year teaching at the women’s conference. My husband Chris and I have been together for almost 20 years and have an amazing son and daughter. I have been blessed to serve in many areas of the children’s ministry for over a decade training leaders and discipling children. I am humbled every day that the Lord has chosen me to share His goodness and life-changing power with others.

  • Hey, y’all!  I’m Jenn.  I used to say my heart was in North Carolina, but now it’s in Florida with my grandbaby!  I have been married for 29 years, have homeschooled three children, have two beautiful daughters-in-love, and a soon-to-be son-in-love. Spending time with my peeps and trips to the thrift store are my idea of fun.  I have been blessed to be the Children’s Ministry Director here at Genesis for over a decade.  My passion is to help parents embrace their role as disciple-makers and see children have a true relationship with Jesus.

  • Hi Girlfriends!  I’m Cindy Foor.  I have been married to my husband, Steve, for more than 48 years and have two grown children and four granddaughters. I have been active in women's ministries for more than 30 years as a speaker/teacher, and I love to use my training in biblical counseling and discipling to help each woman discover her identity in Christ and His plan for her life.  Although my teaching style includes lots of humor, that humor won’t overshadow my focus of pointing people to God's Word for the application of His truths to their lives.  I have one published book and am working to complete books 2 and 3 soon!

  • Hello! My name is Erin.  I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 18 years, and the Lord has blessed us with three awesome kids.  The Lord has placed a desire in my heart to teach people the life-changing, completely sufficient Word of God and how to apply it in their lives.  This is my second year teaching at the Women’s Conference, and it’s a great joy to share the hope we have in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Hello! I’m Rosemary.  I have been married to my husband, Matthew, for 45 years. We have three grown children, one 9th grader, and six grandchildren. I have been involved in ministry to women for most of my adult life and have served as Women’s Ministry Director at Genesis Church over 22 years. I have a passion for God’s Word and for connecting with women. My greatest joy is seeing women learn to take God at His Word and discover His transforming power in their lives.

  • Hi! I’m Lindsay. I’ve been married to my husband, Anthony, for 17 years and enjoy being a homeschool momma to my son and daughter. I love to laugh, sing my heart out to the Lord, and dive into deep, heart level conversations about life. I recently created and launched a holistic women’s wellness cohort to equip women to live well spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, and relationally. I’m a passionate teacher who is committed to helping others overcome in the victory of Jesus and live transformed lives empowered by the Holy Spirit.

  • We want to walk worthy, but so many things can pull us off that path.  In Part 1 of Sermon on the Mount, Jesus described what the worthy walk looks like.  In Part 2, He turns to the issues of life that will sabotage and defeat us in our walk.  What keeps you from walking worthy?  Is it worry, pride, lack of trust, self-focus?  Jesus addresses these issues and more, giving you help and hope to keep walking worthy.

(It is not necessary to attend both Part 1 and Part 2)

  • We all want to see God move in our lives. But when He calls us to walk in faith, we are often filled with excuses: “That won’t work,” “I can’t do that,” and, most popular, “I don’t want to!”  We can overcome excuses and begin walking in faith. Join us as we look at the life of Moses and see how he overcame excusitis and the biblical principles that we can apply in our own lives.

  • Hebrews tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please God.”  But what is faith?  How do I build faith?  Do I need more faith?  What does it mean to have great faith?  What are the benefits of faith?  Join us as we open the Word to see faith defined, demonstrated and developed.

  • Just how do we walk worthy?  What does it look like?  Jesus gives us a beautiful picture of the worthy walk in the Sermon on the Mount.  In this first half of His sermon, He presents the attitudes, actions and motives we are to embrace.  Join us as we unpack these passages and learn what it means to walk in the footsteps of Christ.

(It is not necessary to attend both Part 1 and Part 2)

  • What woman hasn’t struggled with thoughts of defeat, not being worthy, or not feeling “enough?”  We all have, because we have an enemy whose primary weapon is lies. He especially likes to aim his flaming arrows at the hearts of those who follow Jesus in an effort to render us useless and to keep us from walking in step with God’s plan for our lives.  In this session, we will look at the specific armor of God to discover how to squelch the lies of the evil one and to stand firm in our identity in Christ.

  • What is intimacy? What does it mean to have a deep, intimate relationship with God? Our culture often confuses intimacy with sex, physical relationships, or romantic feelings. Intimacy involves cultivating a deep, personal connection, characterized by love, trust, and open communication.  Jesus is the model of intimacy with God because He and the Father are one, and no relationship can be closer than that oneness with the Father that Jesus experienced. In this class, we will study the relationship between Jesus and His Father and learn how we can attain and grow in true intimacy with God.

  • While conflict can be uncomfortable, difficult, and make you feel like you want to run, explode, avoid it, or manipulate your way through it, there’s hope for a better way. You can have peace amidst the conflict and new life in your conflict resolution. If you feel hopeless and trapped in unhealthy conflict-resolution cycles, join me in this session to become the peacemaker (not the peacekeeper) God made you to be so you can administer and experience His peace, truth, reconciliation, and restoration.

  • God commands us to love and worship Him with our whole being (body, mind, heart, and soul): to live whole in Him and not in disjointed pieces. Our emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health are all intricately connected and important to the Lord. When we try to separate or minimize aspects of our humanity, we hinder our spiritual maturity. In this session, you’ll glean a biblical foundation for living whole in the Lord and gain life-changing practical application in how you can worship Him daily through your whole being.

  • Do you struggle with your thought life?  Do your thoughts control you, or do you control them?  Sometimes, we experience intrusive thoughts, and when those thoughts pop up in our minds, we can feel out of control.  Throughout scripture, we see the importance of the mind and what we think.  We live in a spiritual battle here on Earth.  Come join us in this session as we talk about capturing our thought life and bringing it into submission to God’s Word.

  • As we strive to walk worthy with the Lord, it is crucial to remain in step with the Holy Spirit’s guidance.  It’s all too easy to be impatient and forge ahead of His leading, or lag behind when He’s leading somewhere we don’t really want to go.  Sometimes, it’s the timetable that trips us up; we want to control the timing and outcome.  If we’re not in lock step with the Spirit or if we ignore His promptings, we can easily step out of His will and plan for our lives. Join us in this breakout session where we will look into Galatians 5 for insight from God’s Word about how to walk worthy with Jesus and live in the freedom He died to provide us!

  • What defines you? Identity can be rooted in many things. You may consider your relational status, skills, or work, but it is important for our identity to be rooted in the right thing. Knowing who we are shapes everything about us, from our character to our values, and how we navigate the world around us. God, our Creator, has given us Jesus Christ as the source of our identity. In this class, we will learn some of the titles we have in Christ and discover how we can walk worthy of those titles to bring honor and glory to God.
