Experiencing a burden in life?

Our care team is here to bear your burden with you. We serve the needs of our church family through meals, visits, cards, calls, prayers, Circle of Compassion (widows & widowers) and The Tabitha Project (hand knitted & crocheted items). These services are extended to our Partners and regular attendees of Genesis Church.

Our team is always looking for more members to provide care encouragement and love to our church family. There are multiple ways you can get involved.

Here’s how you can help

  • Team members prepare and deliver meals to people in need within our church body (surgery, death, birth, severe illness, etc.). Freezer meals are prepared by the team members and kept on campus and are available when enough volunteers aren’t available to provide meals to the families requested thru the Meal Team. Complete holiday meals are made by the team and distributed to widows/widowers/shut-ins on Christmas Eve morning.

  • Team members make visits to church family members in the hospital, nursing homes or in-home visits providing encouragement and prayer.

  • Team members send cards to provide encouragement and support to those who are (but not limited to) in the hospital, recovering from surgeries, cancer treatment, loss of a loved one and to celebrate the birth of a baby. Also, those listed on the Care Recipient List receive one card of encouragement per month.

  • Team members call the Care Recipients for updates, as well as those mentioned in Prayer Requests.

  • Team members are dedicated to praying for those who are named in the prayer requests sent out by the prayer coordinator/team leader.

  • This team is dedicated to encouraging and supporting widows and widowers. A monthly lunch get together is held at local restaurants. Group events are also held at the church throughout the year, as well as outside get-togethers (movies, mini-golf, walks, etc.)

  • This team makes beautiful hand made blankets and other items to share with our church family, various groups and organizations.
