Hey, y’all! I’m Jenn. I’ve lived in the York area for 13 years although my heart is still in the great state of North Carolina. I have been married for 28 years, have homeschooled three children, have a sweet daughter-in-love who will be blessing me with my first grandbaby in 2025! Reading, spending time with my peeps, and trips to the thrift store are my ideas of fun. I have been blessed to be the Children’s Ministry Director here at Genesis for over nine years. My passion is to help parents embrace their role as disciple makers and see children come to have a true relationship with Jesus.

Hi! I'm Janine Giambalvo, and my husband, Mike, and I just celebrated 40 years of marriage. We have two adult married children who we think are awesome. After I retired in December of 2021, my husband and I have enjoyed traveling and going on new adventures. Having been active in women's ministries in various capacities here at Genesis since 1991, my greatest joy and privilege is to be one of the leaders of Precept Bible studies here at Genesis. I have a desire for all women who have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ to learn how to study God's word and apply it to their lives. I am also honored to have stepped into a mentoring role for a few Christian women. I am always humbled to be a part of this wonderful weekend!

Hello! I’m Rosemary and I have been married to my husband, Matthew, for 44 years. We have three grown children, one 8th grader, and six grandchildren. I have been involved in ministry to women for most of my adult life and have served as Women’s Ministry Director at Genesis Church over 21 years. I have a passion for God’s Word and for connecting with women. My greatest joy is seeing women learn to take God at His Word and discover His transforming power in their lives.

Hi girlfriends! I’m Cindy Foor. I have been married to my husband, Steve, for more than 45 years and have two grown children and four granddaughters. I have been active in women's ministries for more than 30 years and have published one book and am working on my second. I am a frequent speaker and Bible teacher for various women's groups, retreats, conferences, seminars and banquets. Although my teaching style includes lots of humor, that humor will never overshadow my passion to guide women to God's Word for the application of His truths to their lives.

Hello! My name is Erin. I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 17 years, and the Lord has blessed us with three kids. The Lord has placed on my heart a huge desire to teach people the life-changing, completely sufficient, unchanging, authoritative Word of God and how to apply it in their lives. I am new this year in teaching at a women’s conference, and I am incredibly humbled to be a part of this. It’s a great joy to share the hope we have in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Hi! I’m Lindsay, wife to my husband, Anthony, of 15 years and homeschool mom of two beautiful blessings. I’m committed to help others overcome in the victory of Jesus and live transformed lives empowered by the Holy Spirit. I stand on the authoritative Word of God and teach with passion and zeal. I’m your biggest cheerleader! I get excited about the smallest things and long to see you find true hope, deliverance, healing, and purpose in Jesus.

Faithfulness has always been valued in Scripture. It is the foundation of God’s character and is available to every believer. Just like the disciples, we often ask for more faith. But in Luke 17 Jesus tells them and us what we need is more faithful obedience. In this session we will explore God’s Word and see how we can live with more faithful obedience to the One who is always faithful.
-
In a world that is anything but gentle and self-controlled, let’s take a deeper dive into what God says about both. What does God say about how to handle life’s ups and downs in a way that glorifies Him? We will find His hope and how we apply this in our daily lives as followers of Christ.
-
We all have habits. But are they fruitful? John 15 tells us that fruitfulness comes from abiding in Christ. But how exactly do we do that? It comes from a whole new way of thinking and believing. Come learn how to begin developing habits of abiding that yield fruit because they set our heart and mind on Him.
-
Being a mom is challenging! But we serve a mighty God who has called us into this role of motherhood and given us our children. Do you ever struggle with trusting God with your kids and walking in obedience to how he has called you to raise them? Come and learn biblical principles on how we can walk a life worthy of the calling we have received, in humble submission to our Lord and Savior as mothers.
-
Prayer. It’s so much more than an offering up of requests, which is why the enemy works overtime to keep you from being a praying woman. Prayer is presence, power, partnership, and privilege. Whether you’re just beginning in your prayer relationship with the Lord, wanting to develop stronger daily prayer habits, or desiring to dive deeper into the heart of intercessory prayer, this session will spur you on to be a fruitful and effective prayer warrior in the Lord.

Do you remember your parents strongly charging you to "be good" upon their leaving the house to do an errand? A popular Christmas song advises children to "be good for goodness' sake!" Sweatshirts, socks, water bottles, T-shirts are emblazoned with the phrase "be kind" creating a veritable walking advertisement for this character quality. And there's even an internet "Be Kind Store,” the proceeds of which support character education programs in schools. Is biblical goodness and kindness something that we just “do” or is it something deeper . . . or both? Come and find out about this facet of the fruit of the Spirit that is often taken for granted.

Of all of the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit, love is especially important. Why? Because God says in 1 Corinthians 13, that of all things, only three remain as eternal – faith, hope, and love. And He concludes that thought by making sure we know that the greatest of these is love. God has so much to say about this wonderful topic and in this breakout session, we’ll explore His Word to look at it from His perspective – how He loves and how He expects us to love others. If you struggle with truly loving someone the way you know God wants you to, consider joining us. You will be reminded of some principles that are so vital to applying His truth to your daily life.
-
Let’s be honest. We live in a world that can be pretty joyless. Disappointments, heartaches, and difficulties come to all of us. How can the fruit of joy grow amid the turmoil of this life? Come on a journey through the Word of God to discover the unexpected places where His joy has flourished and recognize the opportunities for His joy that you may have been missing.
-
When the curveballs come, the uncertainties swirl, unmet expectations seem to be the norm, grief wearies your soul, and the waiting seems to last for decades, where do you find your peace and how well do you wait? If you find that your peace feels absent and your patience lost, please join me in this session to be encouraged and equipped to persevere through the hard and live life with peace that overcomes and patient endurance that prevails.
-
“ . . . you are to be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:48. Whoa, that’s a pretty high bar Jesus set for us. But what exactly does He mean? If you are the perfect perfectionist, you might need some help overcoming the perfectionism lie. This negative trait may have originated from an overly competitive inner drive to do and to be “the best.” Perhaps it came from someone in our lives who expected us to perform or to look or to speak a certain way in order to be loved or accepted. If you find yourself agreeing with one or both of these statements, then this session is for you, my friend.

Sometimes life just throws a challenge at us that knocks us over completely and it seems impossible to know how to walk through it, how to function in our daily responsibilities, how to find joy, peace, and contentment in the midst of it. The unfortunate thing is that we all have these life experiences at one point or another. Some are for a lifetime, others for a nighttime. Some are more often, others less frequently. Some are absolute tragedies; others are absolute frustrations. But we all have them. Yet the fortunate thing is that we have a God who promises so much in the midst of them. He’s with us. He will never leave us. He will bring us through them. He will bring good despite them. He will be faithful! Yes, the struggle is real, but so is our GOD! Join us to be encouraged from God’s Word of Truth and find hope in the very One who promises to see you through!
