Hello! I’m Rosemary and I have been married to my husband, Matthew, for 42 years. We have four children and four grandchildren. I have been involved in ministry to women for most of my adult life and have served as Women’s Ministry Director at Genesis Church for 20 years. I have a passion for God’s Word and for connecting with women. My greatest joy is in seeing women learn to take God at His Word and discover His transforming power in their lives.
Janine Giambalvo
Hi! I'm Janine, and my husband, Mike, and I have been married for nearly 39 years! We have two adult married children, Jen and Jake. Last year I retired from my at-home legal transcription work, and my husband and I have been enjoying traveling and going on new adventures. I have been active in Women's Ministries in various capacities here at Genesis since 1991, but I consider my greatest joy and privilege to be one of the leaders of Precept Bible studies here at Genesis. I have a desire for all Christian women to learn how to study God's word and apply it to their lives, and I am humbled to be a part of this wonderful weekend!

Hi there, I’m Heather. I have had the privilege of serving in youth and Women’s Ministry the last 15+ years in various capacities. I am currently serving as a teacher in the discipleship ministry of Self Confrontation and in the middle school ministry with 7th- and 8th-grade students. My desire is to see a faithful generation of students rise up, standing firm in their faith and grounded in God’s word. I am passionate about discipleship, family time, and meaningful relationships to walk through life together. I have been married to Austin for 15 years, and we have three children: Gavin (11), Brynnlee (10), and Hollyn (5).

I have been investing in the lives of women for more than 20 years. I am a mentor and teacher dedicated to discipleship and encouraging women to raise their vision of who God is. My desire is to see women firmly rooted in biblical truth, built up in Christ and established in their faith in order that they may share the good news with others. I have been married for 35 years to Ron and have 2 adult children and two granddaughters.

Hey Y’all! I’m Jenn. I have been married for 26 years, homeschooled three children and have been blessed with a sweet daughter-in-love. Baking, reading, spending time with my peeps and trips to the thrift store are my ideas of fun. I have been blessed to be the Children’s Ministry Director here at Genesis for over eight years. Recently I have completed my training to teach Self Confrontation with the hopes of encouraging others to disciple and live God’s way. My passion is to help parents embrace their role as disciple makers and see children come to have a true relationship with Jesus.

Hi Girlfriends! I’m Cindy Foor. I have been married to my husband, Steve, for more than 45 years and have two grown children and four granddaughters. I have been active in women's ministries for more than 30 years and have published one book and am working on my second. I am a frequent speaker and Bible teacher for various women's groups, retreats, conferences, seminars and banquets. Although my teaching style includes lots of humor, that humor will never overshadow my passion to guide women to God's Word for the application of His truths to their lives.

Building a Wall Against Unhealthy Comparisons - Janine Giambalvo
At a young age, we are introduced to the concept of how to compare all sorts of things . . . shapes, sizes, colors, qualities, etc. As we grow, we begin comparing other things, including ourselves. Who is smarter? Prettier? Uglier? More spiritual? Soon we start internalizing comparisons we or others make about us, whether or not it is based in reality. Media and advertising emphasize our physical appearance, and we can unfairly compare ourselves to Photoshopped, artificial images. In this session, we will learn how to build a barrier that will keep us from looking horizontally at people and at the same time focus our gaze vertically to the One who created us and sees us as we truly are.

As believers and parents, we have a responsibility to train up the next generation in such a way that when they are old, the teachings of God’s Word will not leave them. But how do we do that? What does that practically look like? What if I don’t have young people in my house? Whether you live with or mentor young people, in this session we will take a deeper look into how and what it means to walk with the next generation that they may be found faithful.

In this session we will discuss God’s perspective and basic Biblical principles about being a parent. Discovering God’s viewpoint will help you understand your role and purpose as “mother.”
The Secret of Contentment - Jenn Farris
Discontentment flares when either our wants aren't met or our expectations of what life should be like don’t measure up. We feel frustration, anger, and anxiety. These things take our focus from God and keep us from drawing near to Him. Through scripture, this class will help us see the secret of being content in any and every situation.
Wisdom from the Book of James - Connie Hartman
Most believers find the pursuit of holiness difficult. The Book of James takes us inside man. We will work through five themes found in James: You can be a Complete Christian, Facing Trials With Joy, Conquering Doubt, Praying Effectively, and Remaining Faithful. These themes help the believer become a teleios (complete, entire) person, to overcome whatever it is that stands in the way.
Witnessing at Work - Cindy Foor
We are all called to be ambassadors for Christ, but there is much confusion about what we can legally say or not say to others about Christ, especially in the workplace. In this breakout, we will explore God’s Word to ensure understanding of the calling and compare that to current employment and freedom-of-speech laws. We do not have to be fearful of sharing the Good News of Jesus!
Youth + Cultural Lies - Heather Cusumano
In a culture plagued by confusion and relativity, the youth of today are searching for clarity and truth. And whoever wants these young people more, will get them. Politics wants them. The education system wants them. Social media and pornography want them. But what would happen if the Church wanted them more? In this session we’ll refute a few of the top cultural lies infiltrating the youth of today with the unifying Truth of Scripture.
