2025 Awana Super Saturday

AwanaGames began in 1955 when four Awana clubs competed in the basement of Chicago’s North Side Gospel Center. This is an exciting, fast-paced event open to students in Sparks and T&T. Teams of 10-20 students compete in a series of high-energy games. AwanaGames offers many benefits like building a stronger identity and closer bond among members of a church’s Awana ministry, motivates kids to attend Awana and complete handbook sections, connects area churches and leaders with each other for ongoing support, and allows leaders to interact with clubbers’ parents in a fun atmosphere. Amidst all the energy and excitement of the team games, a break in the action always includes a presentation of the gospel message. We also take time to recognize the kids who are on track to receive their end of year book awards.

Bible Quizzing is the Scripture memory counterpart to the physical, game-oriented AwanaGames. Bible Quizzing is open to young people in third through 6th grade. Bible Quizzing tests students’ knowledge of material in handbooks and manuals and provides individual recognition and awards. Bible Quizzing stimulates Scripture memorization and review at every level, and also motivates students to stay up-to-date in their handbooks and manuals. As students spend more time preparing for Bible Quizzing, their parents also become exposed to God’s Word. Bible Quizzing further promotes fellowship between students and other local Awana clubs. Bible Quizzing consists of three segments: paddle quiz (multiple choice), speed quiz, and a written test.
