Dastardly Dirty Deeds and Diabolic Deceptive Devices of the Devil

Special message by Dr. Jared Pingleton, Vice President of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

News flash: we are in a war and our adversary absolutely hates our guts. Not because of who we are, but because of whose we are. As C. S. Lewis wisely stated in his classic book The Screwtape Letters, most people err in one of two extremes regarding the devil: they are either overly concerned with him or ignore his existence altogether. This message offers a biblically-based, balanced discussion of the Adversary’s schemes so that we are not unaware of his battle plans. Scripture details a progressively intensified series of subtle schemes and seditious strategies satan uses against us in spiritual warfare. These include: how he deceives us, distracts us, diverts us, discourages us, defeats us, devours us, and ultimately, desires to destroy us. But the good news is that although he is opposite of God, he is not equal to God. He is a defeated foe and our Advocate is greater than he that is in the world!”
